PCD is the composite material of Diamond Powder and Tungsten Carbide Substrate by sintering at High Temperature and High Pressure. So the Hardness of PCD is very high. If want to grind PCD, the Hardness of Grinding wheels also need to highest. Diamond Vitrified Grinding wheels is most Suitable Grinding wheels to grind PCD, it has following Advantages:

1. The Grinding Efficiency is highest than Resin Bond and Metal Bond Grinding wheels.

2. Less Dress when grinding. Because the high hardness of vitrified Bond Grinding wheels, so it could keep good shape when grinding. If use resin bond Grinding wheel, it will need dress many times when grinding.

3. The shape of PCD after grinding is different. If use Resin Bond Grinding-wheel, the shape of PCD is Isosceles trapezoid; while if use Vitrified Grinding wheels, the shape of PCD is rectangle. 

4. The smoothness of work piece will better than resin grinding wheel. Because the heat resistance of Resin Bond Grinding wheels is not good, so when meet the high temperature when grinding, the Resin Binder easy to soften when temperature reach to 200 degree. The other material easy to stick on the work piece. It will lead to the unsmooth on the work piece. While Vitrified Grinding wheels will avoid this problem. 

5. Use Vitrified Grinding wheel to grind PCD, the Grinding Feed per time could much than Resin Bond Grinding wheels.
