Part I: General Information

‘HEROHOME’ produces the most suitable Tissue Paper Grinding Wheel, which is also called the Log Saw Blade Grinding Wheel, CBN Resin Grinding Wheel and Grinding Wheel for Band Saw Grinding, in Tissue-Paper converting industry, especially for sharpening the Log Saw Blade and Band Saw. The most frequently used materials of the above two kinds of blade are (Cr12 MoV1 (Excellent Alloy Steel--D2D (USD)), Cr12MoV (Good Alloy Steel-- D2 (USD)) and 9CrSi (Common Alloy Steel). The above blades after heat treatment can achieve a final hardness of Rockwell with over HRC50, so that they have excellent cutting longevity and wear-resistance.

Part III: How to choose a suitable CBN Tissue Paper Grinding Wheel

(1) Choice of Abrasive: CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) is a kind of synthetic super-hard material, which is the second hardest material in the world. Its hardness is only inferior to the synthetic Diamond.

It not only owns the major properties of diamond, but also it has the higher thermal stability with iron metals and alloies, the obvious advantage of CBN abrasive is in processing of the materials, such as, HSS ((High Speed Steel), Alloy Steel, Chrome Steel, Tool Steel and other Steels with hardness between Rockwell 40-65.

(2) Choice of Grain size: Grain Size refers to the size of abrasive grains. It is closely related to the Grinding Efficiency and the surface roughness of the work-piece.

Generally speaking, more coarse grain size brings higher grinding efficiency, while the surface roughness would be relatively lower, and vice versa.

To sharpen the Log Saw Blade, FEPA standard grain size B107 (same as ISO standard 140/170#) would be the most suitable choice. This grain size has been proved to be the perfect match for Log Saw Blade after a long-time exploration & practical experience. And Grain Size D107 refers to the same size, however it is diamond abrasive. And the B107 accounts for 80% in Tissue paper Grinding Wheel. Also the FEPA standard grain size B151 (same as ISO standard 100/120#) and B64 (same as ISO standard 230/270#) can also be used.

(3) Bond: It refers to the material applied for binding the grains together during the production of abrasive tools. The most common bonds include Resin, Metal, Vitrified and Electro-plated.

For sharpening the Log Saw Blades and Band Saw, Resin Bond is the most suitable choice by its significant performances of self-sharpness to grind the Blades by the shortest grinding time, longer duration time of using and the guaranteed sharpening result of blades.
